WDSLA assisted with design and construction of a new, 2-story, two-bay, 8,000 SF fire station. Landscape improvements included on and off-site improvements.

The site selected for this project is within existing Borel Park and required careful siting and consideration of the impacts of reducing critical park space. An arborist was engaged to help determine potential impacts to existing trees and WDSLA assisted in selection of the most suitable site plan. The plant palette was developed to blend well with the existing adjacent park landscape. The final design balances design for a comfortable, 24-hour living environment with

maintenance performed by fire department staff with little or no formal training.
