BENEVENTO FAMILY PARK

WDSLA was awarded the design of Benevento Family Park. The 19 acre site is adjacent to Vista del Lago High School and will include 2 parking lots for 120 cars total, a multi-use field, lighted pickleball courts, children’s play area, an 8 court lighted competition volleyball complex, bocceball courts, stock pond, green space, a wood bridge pathway with interpretive signage, and native planting areas.

Support facilities include 2 multi-user, all gender restrooms and shade structures for both small and large groups. Community outreach led by WDSLA resulted in a Master Plan incorporating large, non-turf areas with low water-use plant material, intended to introduce as much nature into the family park as possible. The project is currently awaiting CEQA approval, at which time Construction Documents will be developed for Summer 2024 construction.
